Solis Rentals
The name Solis came from a place deep within the founder's heart. Solis is Latin for "sun" — and when that word was found, there was no question. It wasn't just the meaning, it was the feeling. The sun is constant. It rises every morning without fail, it gives warmth, it gives light, and it asks for nothing in return. That's exactly what Solis Rentals was built to be for the people it serves.
Born to Jamaican parents and raised in Southwest Florida, the founder carries Caribbean roots that run deep. Growing up, the sun wasn't just weather — it was home. It was the warmth of family, the beauty of the islands, and the spirit of people who know how to make something out of nothing. Solis carries all of that.
But more than anything, God is at the center of this. The name Solis wasn't chosen by accident. Every opportunity given, every door that has opened — the mission has always been to pay that forward. Solis Rentals exists to give people access, opportunity, and a way forward. If putting someone behind the wheel helps them provide for their family, then this business is doing exactly what it was created to do.

How do I get started?
Start with completing our booking form and a member of our team will reach out to you to complete your application.
Do you run a credit check?
No. We do not run your credit at all. The only thing we verify is your driver's license and driving record. If you have a valid license and a gig platform account, you're likely good to go.
What are the upfront costs to get started?
To get started you need a $150 refundable security deposit, which is returned when the car is brought back in the same condition, and your first week's rental payment. That's it. No hidden fees.
Is insurance really included?
Yes, all of our vehicles carry insurance for road compliance — meaning the car is legally insured to be on the road. However, this policy does not cover you personally in the event of an accident. We strongly encourage renters to obtain their own non-owner's insurance policy for personal protection. If you are involved in an accident, you will be responsible for any and all damages to our vehicle, and potentially damages to the other party if you are found at fault. Non-owner's insurance is affordable and easy to get — we highly recommend it before you start driving.
Is there a mileage limit?
Most of our vehicles include unlimited mileage. We know gig workers put on serious miles — that's why unlimited or high mileage is standard on every rental.
How long does the approval process take?
Most applicants are approved within 4 hours of submitting their reservation request.
Can I return the car early?
Yes. Give us 48 hours notice and you can return the vehicle at the end of your current weekly period. There are no early return fees.
Are the vehicles Uber and Lyft approved?
Yes! We allow you to drive with any platform and a member of our team will assist you with onboarding once you've completed booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, CashApp, Zelle, and credit cards. A credit card must be kept on file at all times for the duration of your rental. Your $150 security deposit will be held against the card on file and returned once the vehicle is brought back in good condition.
